I completed my undergraduate studies in English literature and history at Carleton University. My research examines postwar migration to Canada through the lens of gender and sexuality. I am interested in the way that Canada’s claims to multiculturalism and inclusion have been contested. Under the supervision of Dr. Karen Dubinsky, I plan to look at the experiences of straight and queer migrant women in accessing sexual health in Toronto from the 1960s-1990s. Within this project I hope to explore questions of citizenship and contribute to a more nuanced understanding of migrant women. I am also interested in feminist oral history and archival theory.
