About

My academic interests revolve around the Mediterranean in the medieval period, especially in regards to viewing the sea as a connector between peoples and regions. I am interested in political, legal, and social developments throughout the region and in utilizing sources in various languages to understand the Mediterranean in a wider context. My undergraduate honours thesis studied the legal and social restructuring of towns in post-conquest medieval Wales and Iberia to better understand the role of ethnicity, laws, and power in those tumultuous situations. I plan on working with Dr. Adnan Husain at Queen’s to delve further into the relationships between diverse legal traditions, royal power, and local authority in the region. Outside of academics, I love to draw and admire the sky.
