My research interests lie in the public policy measures of the twentieth century United States, spanning from the introduction of the New Deal to the stagnation and deindustrialization of the 1970s and 1980s. My research will focus on the outcomes of public policy measures during this period and their relation to broader national and international political, social and economic trends such as the Southern Strategy or the rise of neoliberal economics.  I will be completing my research under Dr. Timothy Smith.
