About

I am a third-year Ph.D candidate under the supervision of Dr. Anthony D’Elia and Dr. Una D’Elia. My research interests include women’s history, material culture, and the history of science and medicine in early modern Italy. My dissertation focusses on Medici women’s uses of gemstones and minerals for health and beauty during the period of the Florentine Grand Duchy.
