On November 17th, Dr. Karen Dubinsky was awarded the Panorama Award from the Canadian Bureau for International Education for her work with Dr. Susan Lord (Department of Film and Media) for the Cuban Culture and Society program. The program, which began over a decade ago in partnership with the University of Havana, includes a course on the history of Cuba from 1959 to the present, and a 14-day student exchange to Havana, Cuba. Over the years, the program has brought distinguished Cuban scholars, musicians, and film makers to Queen's University, greatly enriching the student experience. Congratulations, Karen!
