PhD student Joanne Archibald wins the Donald S. Rickerd Fellowship in Canadian-American Studies

PhD student Joanne Archibald has been awarded The Donald S. Rickerd Fellowship in Canadian-American Studies. This fellowship is given to graduate students working on any aspect of Canadian-American Studies, including Canadian-American relations and comparative studies and is valued at $18,000.

Joanne is a first-year PhD student in the Department of History. Her research focuses on Canada's military and political history, geopolitical history related to the Cold War, and the creation and expansion of the Canadian identity. She is completing her doctoral studies under the supervision of Dr. Allan English.
