Diane's research interests include African studies, Zambian political history, issues of gender and feminism, cultural theory, and social justice. Her Ph.D. focuses on the Chona Commission, a document informing the 1972 Zambian Constitution, and its later renditions. Her M.A. History at Queen's was a continuation of her M.ES., where she examined issues of gender and culture in colonial and postcolonial Zambia. Her favourite author is Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.  She is being supervised by Professor Marc Epprecht.
