His current academic work explores issues of insurgencies, terrorism, intelligence, and special operations forces. He recently completed a post-doctoral Security & Defence Fellowship at Carleton University's Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, and a Teaching Terrorism workshop at William & Mary College in Virginia.
