I am a PhD candidate focusing on Mediterranean and European medieval history under the supervision of Dr. Richard Greenfield.  My dissertation examines religious identity and thought in the late Byzantine Empire, especially the life and writings of Gregory Palamas, Demetrios Kydones, and their associates.
