British Colonial History, Britain in Africa, Decolonization

B.A. (Honours with Distinction) in History from Simon Fraser University

During my undergrad at Simon Fraser University I became interested in studying British Imperialism, particularly in Africa. My Honours thesis took a more global perspective as I undertook a political history of South Asian Ismailis living in Tanganyika during the lead up to independence in the colony (1950s/1960s). Under the supervision of Dr. Amitava Chowdhury, I plan to continue to explore the history of decolonization in Tanganyika.

Outside of academics, I love playing field hockey, listening to Canadian indie rock, and jumping on and off the Canucks bandwagon.
