Dr. Caroline-Isabelle Caron Featured for Engaging Online Seminar Design

Caroline-Isabelle Caron was recently featured in a Youtube video highlighting her unique approach to online content in her fall term course HIST 338 Western World Ethnohistory. The video, created by Youtube educational channel Verbal to Visual, demonstrates how Caron visual curriculum design creates an excellent course well suited for successful online learning.

Dr. Lisa Pasolli Joins $2.5M Project to Design Childcare Policies

Dr. Pasolli has joined a international, interdisciplinary research team to take part in a new project, “What is the Best Policy Mix for Diverse Canadian Families with Young Children? Re-imagining Family Polices,” which has been awarded a $2.5 million Partnership Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

Dr. James Carson appointed editor of the Queen’s Quarterly

Dr. Jamey Carson recently appointed editor of the Queen's Quarterly

Congratulations to Dr. Carson for his recent appointment as editor for the Queen's Quarterly. Jamey has been a faculty member of the Department of History since 1996.  He has also served in administrative positions at Queen's which included Associate Dean at the Faculty of Arts and Science and Chair of the Department of History.  We wish him well in his newest endeavor.

Historians’ Project Recognized by Minister of Veterans Affairs Canada

On 10 July 2019 the Minister of Veterans Affairs Canada and Associate Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, MP, visited Queen’s Kingston to announce a grant of $25 million over ten years to the Canadian Institute of Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR). He also recognized  the Queen’s-Servicewomen’s Salute Canada Portal Project to provide needed online resources for Canadian servicewomen transitioning to civilian life and female veterans, which is being conducted in collaboration with CIMVHR.
