Sexual and Gender Diversity

Positive Space Program

Positive Space is a sticker program celebrating sexual and gender diversity at Queen’s. Positive Space stickers in work, living, or study areas signal that all are welcome. To be welcoming includes not making assumptions about anyone’s gender or sexual orientation, being aware of intersectionalities with other forms of oppression, and working to overcome both overt and subtle forms of discrimination and harassment. To receive a sticker to post, you must complete:

  • Positive Space Part 1 (self-paced) and;
  • Positive Space Part 2 (virtual).

Principal's Action Group for Gender and Sexual Diversity (PAGGAS)

Queen’s University Principal and Vice-Chancellor Patrick Deane committed to taking intentional steps towards addressing systematic racism and creating a more inclusive community. One of the stated goals of the Principal’s Declaration was to identify and eliminate gaps in supports and resources for 2SLGBTQI+ students, staff, and faculty.
