Summary of Resources for Managers

Friday, August 28, 2020

Dear Managers,

As summer comes to an end and we turn our attention to the fall term, we would like to take the opportunity to encourage you to revisit the tools and resources that have been provided over the past five months.  Although most staff will most likely continue to work remotely, some employees will begin the transition back to campus in support of returning students and the academic mission of the faculties.

To assist you in managing your employees, whether remotely, on campus or a hybrid team, please review our online resources including Managing Hybrid Teams and how best to conduct meetings with Best Practices for Remote and Hybrid Teams as well as additional resources on Flexible work arrangements for Staff with caregiving responsibilities.

Here are more resources that you may like to revisit as you begin to transition back to campus:

Please continue to visit the Human Resources COVID website and the Queen’s Return to Campus Guidelines for available updates.

Finally, please take the time to visit the Faculty of Health and Science Queen’s return to campus online training module – 20 minutes which is a great resource providing guidance on what you may expect when returning to campus.

Planning and preparing for a phased return to campus has been informed by the following Principles for decision-making during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact your Human Resources Advisor.
