Jacob Robbins-Kanter​

 

 

Jacob is a doctoral candidate in the department of Political Studies at Queen’s University. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) from McGill University and an MA in political studies from Queen’s University. Jacob studies Canadian and Comparative politics, with a focus on political parties, federalism, and political communications. He is broadly interested in how cultural diversity is reflected in electoral politics. His doctoral research investigates the political effects of linguistic and regional diversity in Canada, explaining how federal parties frame election campaign messaging in English and French. He holds a Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (2017-2020).
