Rebecca Wallace

Rebecca Wallace is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Studies at Queen’s University. She has a BAH (with distinction) and an MA in political studies from Queen’s University. Rebecca’s research focuses on Canadian politics, broadly examining welfare chauvinism toward different racial minority groups and its manifestation in Canadian news media. Rebecca is a doctoral fellow at the Institute of Intergovernmental Relations and a research assistant for the Canadian Opinion Research Archive. Her primary research interests include Canadian social policy, political behaviour, and political communication. Rebecca holds a Joseph Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Fellowship from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council (2016-2019) and her work has recently been published in the Canadian Journal of Political Science.
