DIY Personalized Picnic Set Workshop

Step Up Your Picnic Game With Your Own DIY Set.

In this 2 day workshop (approx. 8 hours total time) you will learn to use a variety of modern maker tools and techniques to build your own picnic set. You will learn how to construct a wooden picnic basket and sew a picnic blanket to complete your own spring-ready picnic collection. All equipment and materials will be supplied.

This is an opportunity to learn the basics of a new skill in a fun and practical way, from woodworking to sewing, and many other tools available at your disposal in the SparQ Studios Makerspace.

The SparQ Studios Makerspace (located on the ground floor of 69 Union Street, Kingston, ON)


$20.00 per person*

*The registration fee is intended to be a deposit that will secure your spot in the workshop. The deposit can be refunded to you after you successfully attend the workshop or it can be exchanged for a 4-month membership to the SparQ Studios Makerspace where you can access all the same tools to keep working on your own projects! 

How to Register

Please drop off a $20.00 cash or cheque (addressed to the Dunin-Deshpande Queen’s Innovation Centre) deposit to secure your spot in this exclusive workshop, as spots are limited. Deposits can be dropped off at the SparQ Studios Makerspace between 12-6PM Monday to Friday. There are limited seats, so make sure to secure your spot.
