ITS offers hands-on training workshops, drop-in sessions and by-appointment support for Queen's faculty members and staff. If you would like to arrange training or a demonstration for your group, please email the Faculty180 Team.

Training for Faculty Members

Faculty180 - Introduction for Beginners (for faculty members and/or faculty delegates)

Details

This session is intended for all QUFA faculty members (or delegates) who would like to learn more about Faculty180. In this session, participants will learn to: 

•    navigate Faculty180;
•    enter and edit data;
•    import citation information and publications;
•    import/export their Canadian Common CV;
•    import ORCID data;
•    preview existing CV templates (incl. the QUQAP CV) & create personal CV templates.

This classroom is equipped with computers to allow you to follow along and work within the Faculty180 application.

Intended Audience:

  • For faculty members who are new to Faculty180

Prerequisites:

  • None

Faculty180 - Preparing & Submitting your Annual/Biennial Report (for faculty members)

Details

This session is intended for all QUFA faculty members (other than Term Adjuncts) who intend to use Faculty180 to submit their Annual/Biennial Report. In this session, participants will learn to:

•    navigate Faculty180;
•    enter and edit data, with emphasis on data required for the Annual/Biennial Report;
•    import citation information and publications;
•    import/export their Canadian Common CV;
•    import ORCID data;
•    preview & submit their Annual/Biennial Report.

This classroom is equipped with computers to allow you to follow along and work within the Faculty180 application.

Intended Audience:

  • For Faculty who are using/want to use Faculty180 to submit their Annual/Biennial Reports.

Prerequisites:

  • None, but recommended to take the introductory course beforehand.

Training for Staff Members

Faculty180 - Required Training for Support Account Users (for Staff)

Details

This session is intended for users who have full administrative rights in Faculty180. In this session, participants will learn to: 

•    navigate Faculty180;
•    add/edit course data;
•    extend deadlines for the Annual/Biennial Report process;
•    push Annual/Biennial Reports back to faculty members;
•    send email notifications through Faculty180.

This classroom is equipped with computers to allow you to follow along and work within the Faculty180 application.

Intended Audience:

  • For staff members who are new to Faculty180 and will be using it to support their Faculty or Department.

Prerequisites:

  • None

Location: 

  • Mackintosh-Corry Hall, F407 Boardroom

The boardroom is located on the 4th floor of Mackintosh-Corry Hall. To get to it, take the stairs or elevator that are located across from the cafeteria, just outside the Centre for Teaching and Learning. Once at the fourth floor, follow the corridor marked by the IT Services sign until you reach the F407 boardroom (through a small lounge area) on your right.
