ITS offers hands-on training workshops for Queen's faculty members and staff. If you would like to arrange training or a demonstration for your group, please submit a request through the IT Services Help Form.

Training for Faculty Members

Faculty180 - Introduction for Beginners (for faculty members and/or delegates)

Details

This workshop is intended for any QUFA faculty members and their delegates. In this workshop, participants will learn to: 

•    navigate Faculty180;
•    enter & edit data;
•    import citation information from external databases;
•    import/export data to/from the Canadian Common CV (CCV);
•    import ORCID data;
•    preview existing CV templates (e.g., Annual/Biennial Report) & create personal CV templates.

This classroom is equipped with computers to allow you to follow along and work within your Faculty180 account.

Intended Audience:

  • For faculty members (or delegates) who are new to Faculty180

Prerequisites:

  • None

Faculty180 - Preparing & Submitting your Annual Report (for faculty members and/or delegates)

Details

This workshop is intended for faculty members (or delegates), who intend to submit their Annual Report through Faculty180. In this workshop, participants will learn to:

•    navigate Faculty180;
•    enter and edit data, with emphasis on data required for the Annual Report;
•    import citation information and publications;
•    import/export data to and from the Canadian Common CV (CCV);
•    preview & submit the Annual Report.

This classroom is equipped with computers to allow you to follow along and work within your Faculty180 account.

Intended Audience:

  • For faculty members (or delegates) who intend to use Faculty180 to submit their Annual Report.

Prerequisites:

  • None, but some experience using Faculty180 recommended.

Training for Staff Members

Faculty180 - Required Training for Support Account Users (for Staff)

Details

This session is intended for users who have full administrative rights in Faculty180. In this session, participants will learn to: 

•    navigate Faculty180;
•    add/edit course data;
•    add/edit committee data;
•    administer the Annual Report process (e.g., extend submission deadlines).

This classroom is equipped with computers to allow you to follow along and work within your Faculty180 account.

Intended Audience:

  • For staff members who are expected to provide Faculty180 support for all faculty members in their Faculty or Department. Note that this requires a Support Account with full administrative rights
