Microsoft Bookings

Microsoft Bookings is a web-based appointment scheduling tool available through Queen's Office 365. With Microsoft Bookings, you can enjoy fewer missed appointments, spend less time scheduling, and manage bookings on the go.

Key features:

  • A 24/7/365 online solution for booking appointments — no calls necessary.
  • Automatic email confirmations and reminders.
  • The ability to cancel or reschedule online.
  • An easy way to add appointments to your existing Outlook calendar.
  • The option to schedule via phone or in person, you can easily add appointments to Bookings manually from a computer or on a mobile device.

Common use cases:

  • Office hours for teaching assistants or faculty.
  • Appointments with staff for advising, support, consultations or technology support.
  • Office hours for staff of a center, project, or group.

Getting Started

Who Can Have It?

  • Microsoft Bookings licenses and the ability to administer a Microsoft Bookings site is available to full-time staff and faculty. 
  • Students, casual/contingent workers, sponsored/departmental accounts, alumni and retired staff and faculty are not eligible to be licensed for, request, administer, or own a Microsoft Bookings site, but can be added as Staff Member(s) in a Bookings site.

Are There Any Costs?

  • Microsoft Bookings is part of Office 365 service and provided at no cost to eligible users
  • Users are responsible for any personal ISP/cellular arising data charges

How Do I Get It?

  • Current full-time staff and faculty who need to administer a Bookings site require a license for Microsoft Bookings.  Only administrators require a Microsoft Bookings license, Staff Members do not require a Microsoft Bookings license. Any user with or without an Office 365 email account can be added to a Microsoft Bookings site as a Staff Member.   
  • Eligible users can request a Microsoft Bookings site, license, and ability to administer the site using the Microsoft Bookings request form. To request a Microsoft Bookings consult, please visit Microsoft Bookings Consultations page (authentication required).
  • Licensed Bookings site administrators can access Microsoft Bookings from the Apps launcher in the Office 365 Portal,
  • Microsoft Bookings can also be accessed by licensed Bookings site administrators using mobile apps

What if I Leave Queen's?

  • Please see the Office 365 section of the Service Termination Dates page for details on when service will be discontinued following departure from Queen's
