Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)

Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) is a service from Microsoft that protects users from malicious threats posed by email messages, links (URLs) and collaboration tools.

Getting Started

Who Can Have It?

  • ATP Safe Links and ATP for SharePoint is part of the Office 365 suite of cloud-based services available to all current students, staff and faculty of Queen's University with an active Queen's email account. ATP Safe Attachments is currently only available to all Staff and Faculty at Queen's. 

Are There Any Costs?

  • ATP is part of Office 365 service and provided at no cost to eligible users.

How Do I Get It?

  • ATP is built into Office 365, therefore there are no steps required to obtain this service.

What if I Leave Queen's?

  • Please see the Office 365 section of the Service Termination Dates page for details on when service will be discontinued following departure from Queen's. As long as you have a Queen's email account, ATP will protect it.
