Q. What is Microsoft Yammer?

Yammer is a private social network that gets you connecting to others at Queen's University, sharing information across teams, collaborating on documents, and organizing around groups. To learn more, please visit the Yammer service page.

Q. Why should I choose a Yammer group for communication?

Where you create your group is dependent upon what its intended use is. Yammer groups are meant for those who would like to communicate to a large audience, such as the entire University. Q. Will my existing Yammer groups be converted to Office 365 Connected Yammer Groups?
Currently, only new groups created in Yammer that meet the initial rollout requirements will be Office 365 Connected Yammer Groups. In the coming months, we will be working on the next phase of converting existing non-connected Yammer groups.
Q. How do I restore a deleted Office 365 Yammer Connected Group?

To request the recovery of a deleted Yammer Connected Group, please contact the IT Support Center within 30 calendar days from the date of deletion. Recovery of deleted groups beyond 30 days is not possible.
