Securing

By default, when a video is published, it is publicly accessible. This has been setup for ease-of-access; content posted should not contain privileged information. If you are uploading videos not intended for public consumption, please set permissions accordingly.

IT Services recommends the following restrictions for course videos

  • Restrict use to people with a NetID or specific groups of users by using the Restrict with a Login Form option
  • Restrict use to people accessing the video from you intended destination by using the Restrict to a Web Address option
  • Embed videos within your learning management system (e.g., onQ) rather than using Permalinks. For steps on how to do this easily within onQ, visit the "Streaming Service (Ensemble Video)" page within the onQ Support Website".
