Configuring Wireless On Blackberry OS Devices

Blackberry OS 10 Devices

Note: these instructions were tested on a BlackBerry Classic.

  1. Tap Settings > Networks and Connections > Wi-Fi
  2. On other Blackberrys, you may have success from the home screen, swiping down from the top of the screen and tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Make sure that Wi-Fi is set to On. From the list of wireless networks, Select QueensuSecure_WPA2
  4. Enter your NetID as the username
  5. Enter your NetID password
  6. Tap Connect

Blackberry OS 5 Devices

These instructions were made using OS5 and there may be differences in your configuration due to different blackberry OS's or providers.  If these instructions do not work for you please contact your wireless provider and not the IT Support Centre.

  1. Go to Manage Connections
  2. Set Up Wi-Fi Network
  3. Click Scan For Networks
  4. Click on Manual
  5. Type the following In the Connect To field:  QueensuSecure_WPA2
  6. Select QueensuSecure_WPA2
  7. Configure.
  8. Security Type: PEAP
  9. username is your NetID
  10. password is your NetID password
  11. CA certificate: CA (2048)
  12. Check "Disable Server Certificate Validation"
  13. Everything else is default.
  14. Click Connect

You should now be connected to the wireless network.
