Management structure


Program Committee

The LEADERS CREATE will be governed by a Program Committee (PC) and management personnel. The PC will consist of five voting individuals. two representatives from industry (Jeff Daniel, GHD and Douglas Wilton, TECTA PDS), the Director of the Beaty Water Research Centre (Pascale Champagne), a member from a nonprofit/non-governmental organization (Christine McClure, Quinte Conservation) and a student representative (Shuang Liang, Civil Engineering). Stephen Brown and Geof Hall will also serve on the PC in a non-voting role. The Chair of the PC will initially be Jeff Daniel from GHD. The position of Chair will rotate on a yearly basis.

The PC will meet at the start of the award and then at least once per year to set the strategic direction of the LEADERS CREATE to ensure the training goals of the program remain relevant to the stakeholder organizations and to assess the outcomes of the program. The strategic direction of the project, as determined by the PC, will be communicated to all researchers and stakeholders, with an emphasis on encouraging innovative and unique opportunities for student participants. Program evaluation will fall under the responsibilities of the PC.

Selection Committee

A Selection Committee (SC) will be established with membership from the co-applicants and collaborators. The Chair will initially be Geof Hall. Other members include a BWRC Representative (Jyoti Kotecha), a Representatives from a non-profit/non governmental organization and a Trainee Representatives. It will be the role of the SC to assess and recommend for acceptance, the applicants to the LEADERS project.
