Thomas is the Director, Safety, Security and Staff Wellness at The Ottawa Hospital, has been at the hospital for over thirteen years, and has broad experience across the Human Resources portfolio. In his current role Thomas supports patient care by driving culture change and a turnaround on staff safety performance. Thomas is focused on implementing leadership, governance, and system changes that enable a learning environment where staff and patient safety go hand in hand. Thomas also has experience in the automotive manufacturing sector managing logistics and continuous improvement with lean certification and a six sigma green belt. Thomas is a professional engineer with a B.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, a Masters of Health Administration (MHA), and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
