The courses in Portuguese have been offered at Queen’s for the first time in fall 2013, thanks to the collaboration between the Department and Kingston Portuguese community, who raised enough funds to secure a teaching position for two years. Portuguese courses have been extremely popular among Queen’s students and generated a lot of attention in Kingston Portuguese community.

  • Sintra

  • Brazilian dish

    Feijoada, a stew of beans with beef and pork, is also typically cooked in former Portuguese colonies such as Brazil, Macau, Angola, Mozambique and Goa.

  • Portuguese Venice
