Abstract

This show discusses the history of water provision in South Africa, the introduction of prepaid meters in South Africa and the introduction of free basic water and the impact of prepaid meters and free basic water on the household, and the impact of changes in service delivery on municipal workers. It includes interviews with researchers, community activists and officials from Johannesburg Water.
