Occupational health and safety of healthworkers in South Africa

Abstract

This show discusses how understaffing is affecting healthcare workers and impacting on the provision of public healthcare in South Africa. In the show, nurses, doctors and shopstewards describe their working conditions and experiences of providing care to patients. Researchers from the Industrial Health Research Group also describe the outcomes of their research in this area.
