Changes to the on-street parking program and motorcycle parking

Due to changes being introduced by the City of Kingston, Queen’s surface parking permits will no longer be valid for on-street parking on Stuart Street and St. Lawrence Avenue.  Queen’s on-street parking will be relocated to Albert Street and Queen’s Crescent and Stuart Street and St. Lawrence Avenue will be converted to pay and display parking effective May 1, 2016.

Sign up for Queen’s & KGH Transpass

Tuesday, July 14, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Ban Righ Hall, Fireside Room, 32 Bader Lane

Kingston Transit representatives will be on Queen’s campus to answer questions and enroll Queen’s and KGH employees into the discounted transit program. Enroll on July 14 and receive a FREE 10-ride transit pass **(value $23). To facilitate the sign-up process, obtain Enrolment Forms in advance – Queen’s staff from Parking Services, Rideau Building; and KGH staff from Security Services, Dietary 1.


Shuttle Service Discontinued

Shuttle service to be discontinued at the end of July

At the end of July, the park and ride shuttle service between west campus and main campus will be discontinued.

Over the past couple of years the number of people who purchase the shuttle park and ride permits has been declining steadily and significantly, and the shuttle service is no longer financially sustainable.

Effective March 2, the company that operates Queen’s University’s west campus park & ride shuttle will change. The shuttle service will continue its normal operations and the schedule will remain the same.

Changes to on-street Queen’s surface parking passes

Dear Parking Permit holders,

I am writing to advise you that, because of changes being introduced by the City of Kingston, the Queen’s surface parking permit will no longer be valid for on-street parking along the streets noted below as of the effective dates.  The City will add municipal pay and display parking, and/or introduce resident and commuter on-street parking permits instead.
