People work in a SPARQ Systems lab

SPARQ Systems Inc.’s smart grid-enabled photovoltaic microinverter technology was developed through research conducted at Queen’s University under the leadership of Dr. Praveen Jain, Canada Research Chair in Power Electronics, and with contributions from Queen’s graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The Technology Transfer Unit of the Office of Partnerships of Innovation (formerly PARTEQ), has incubated and attracted investment for this start-up company and provides the mentorship that is enabling SPARQ to grow in Kingston.
