BOSTON, MA / TORONTO, ON / SANTIAGO, CHILE – Tom Thompson, Chairman of the Enviro Innovate Clean-tech Foundation, is pleased to announce that Veronica Medina, the CEO of BusinessHUB Ltda., was today appointed to the Foundation’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Medina brings over 20 years of experience in international business development, having assisted companies in expanding their businesses to markets such as Canada, Europe, South America and the United States. This work has been in multiple sectors, with specific focus on industries such as biotechnology, environmental, energy and renewable energy, health, mining, ICT, and infrastructure.

“Ms. Medina is an internationally recognized leader in the world of international development and trade, holding positions on a number of boards and councils, in multiple global jurisdictions,” states Thompson. “Ms. Medina brings to the Foundation a unique and invaluable perspective at the Board level. I have worked closely with Ms. Medina since 2009 and it is clear that the Foundation will benefit greatly from Ms. Medina’s international network, insight and experience.”

About Veronica Medina

Ms. Medina is currently the CEO of BusinessHUB Ltda., an international consulting firm assisting foreign companies in their objectives to enter the markets of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. BusinessHUB is part of Alcalde & Cia, a prestigious law firm who provide a full range of services to companies looking at these markets. Ms. Medina most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at TradeChile S.A. As COO, Ms. Medina focused on international business development, operations, global sales and negotiations for clients in Chile, Peru, Colombia and Argentina.

Prior to TradeChile, Ms. Medina was the European Manager for the Colorado Trade Office in London and served as the Information and Outreach Co-coordinator for the Colorado International Trade Office. Her past experiences include working as the Medical Information Manager at the biotechnology firm Gensia Europe Ltd., Drug Surveillance Officer for Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD), and Events Organizer at the British Red Cross. Ms. Medina has lived and worked in various countries including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, England, Italy, Peru, Scotland, United Arab Emirates, and the United States.

Ms. Medina has a Certificate in International Trade from the World Trade Center Denver & Metropolitan State College in Colorado. In addition, she earned her Masters of Science in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Aberdeen, in Scotland and an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Dallas, Texas.
