ONTARIO / BOSTON – Catalytic Innovations, Enviro Ambient Corporation and its affiliate Enviro Innovate, today announced that Catalytic Innovations has won the United Nations Ideas4Change Competition for Sustainable Development. The UNECE Ideas4Change startup competition recognizes small businesses and entrepreneurs who are developing innovative solutions with the potential to have a significant impact on global sustainability, as they are outlined in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 16 Sustainable Development goals. This includes their potential to create productive jobs in an ecologically sustainable and socially inclusive way.

The Award was announced at the Regional Forum for Sustainable Development on April 25, 2017, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. There were five finalists selected from over 100 entries from 22 countries who pitched their ideas in front of an international jury and presented them to the participants of the Regional Forum.
As a part of the award and in addition to the global recognition from the United Nations, Catalytic Innovations gets the opportunity to participate in the 2017 MassChallenge Israel global accelerator, where it will be among 48 highly vetted teams gaining access to a world-class program, mentors, investors, multinational corporations and other stakeholders.

About Catalytic Innovations (“Catalyst”)
Catalytic Innovations' technology converts airborne carbon dioxide into ethanol for use in consumer products, and as a renewable fuel source. As a semi-finalist team competing for the NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE, Catalyst plans on taking Enviro Ambient’s captured CO2 and convert it into a 200 proof, undenatured alcohol, which has lower GHG emissions than grain-based alcohol and uses substantially less water and no arable land.
