This includes their potential to create productive jobs in an ecologically sustainable and socially inclusive way.
The Award was announced at the Regional Forum for Sustainable Development on April 25, 2017, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. About Catalytic Innovations (“Catalyst”)
Catalytic Innovations' technology converts airborne carbon dioxide into ethanol for use in consumer products, and as a renewable fuel source. As a semi-finalist team competing for the NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE, Catalyst plans on taking Enviro Ambient’s captured CO2 and convert it into a 200 proof, undenatured alcohol, which has lower GHG emissions than grain-based alcohol and uses substantially less water and no arable land.
