Local Kingston “Granola” Company Chosen to Expand into Major Grocery Chains

Artisanal granola company, ‘Urban Hippie’ is soon to be stocking the shelves of Metro and Food Basics.

Urban Hippie Granola, a Kingston-based company is excited to announce as of November 9, 2017 it will be expanding into several Metro and Food Basics due to the successful participation in the ‘Locally Sourced’ initiative program. The company prides itself on crafting artisanal handmade granolas that are available in different flavors such as; ‘Cranberry Pumpkin Seed,’ ‘Tahitian Vanilla Coconut,’ ‘Maca Matcha Superfood,’ ‘Vanilla and Cinnamon Flax Seed’ and “No Sugar But you So Sweet.’ Both Metro and Food Basics will be featuring Urban Hippie’s granola in their flyers at a discounted price starting November 9 for the launch.

“I've been busy getting ready for the launch of Urban Hippie’s newest grocery chain. This week we met with the executives of each store we'll be in, so they could all try the newest product lines and prep their locations.”, says owner and operator of Urban Hippie, Casey Krebs. 

Urban Hippie will be celebrating their third successful year of making delicious, handcrafted granolas on November 18. The company takes pleasure in using local, organic, fair trade, and responsibly sourced ingredients. All Urban Hippie granolas are nut-free, egg-free, dairy-free, soy-free, high in fiber, have no artificial flavours or colours and are made with whole grains and love.
