About this Event

With the unique challenges business owners faced throughout 2020, eCommerce (aka online shopping) has become more of a necessity than ever before. The trouble is, if you’ve never run an eCommerce website, you’re probably wondering where you should start.

This 90-minute webinar with Dionne Baker of ShopBoss Secrets is designed to help you get started with your online shop, and is linked to a 6-week FREE online virtual coaching program through the WE-CAN Project to help you boost your business and pivot to online sales in 2021. Be sure to attend this session to get all the details!

This workshop will help you create an actionable plan, choose a platform to build on, and avoid some of the most common mistakes along the way.

Discussion will focus on the various platforms available for selling products and services, the elements you need to get started, and the tools that will help you build eCommerce success.

By the end of this virtual workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Recognize the importance of having a functional eCommerce website.
  2. Demystify important web terms like SEO, meta-data, CTR, bounce rate, and more!
  3. Develop a step-by-step plan for your next website project.
  4. Choose a launch strategy that will help drive customers to your new online store.

NOTE: Attendees will be emailed a Zoom link to the online session by separate email prior to the event.

The WE-CAN Project is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. Please email  kerry.ramsay@queensu.ca if you have accessibility requirements as soon as possible as advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.
