About this Event

Angela Lyon, Patent Agent, will be presenting an introductory level talk on Intellectual Property. Angela will include some basics on how to conduct a trademark search, and a discussion of copyright, trade secrets, and patents. This talk will be an asset to any startup, whether at the beginning of their journey, or part way along their path. A company’s value is like an iceburg, it is easy to see the 10% that shows above the water, which includes the buildings, the people, and the products. But much of the value of a company comes from the 90% that is below the water’s surface, which includes its intellectual property or its know-how, its branding, and its innovations.

Note: Registrants will be emailed a Zoom link to connect on the day before the session.
