Queen’s Partnerships and Innovation will be hosting the From Lab 2 Fulfillment workshop series, starting in June 2023. Applications open April 26, 2023 until May 26, 2023. The program starts on June 22, 2023.
From Lab 2 Fulfillment (FL2F) is funded by the Capital, Community, Capacity (C3) Project from WeBC and is designed to help support women transform their research and discoveries into profitable products and companies. It was created by Dr. Orly Yadid-Pecht, an Electrical Engineering Professor at the University of Calgary, AITF Strategic Chair in Integrated Intelligent Sensors, consultant, and certified coach. She holds over 30 patents and has co-founded several successful start-ups (WiDR, ToneTech, Luxmux and EatLittle).
The process that Dr. Yadid-Pecht has designed helps women make their scientific innovations more impactful by showing them how to overcome hurdles, find supporters, and build their strategic plans and alliances. Small interactive sessions, asynchronous workshops alongside one-on-one coaching cultivate a supportive space to ideate and pivot research into businesses.
