About this Event

Disabilities come in all shapes and sizes. Some are visible, while others are non-visible or even episodic. Unfortunately, there still exist many barriers in the business world for women with disabilities.

That's why the WE-CAN Project is honoured to host a 1-hour virtual session to recognize and celebrate business ventures being run by women entrepreneurs with disabilities in the greater Kingston region.

Join us to hear some of the stories of amazing women who have overcome unique challenges, and found ways to turn barriers into opportunities and success.

Spotlighted businesses will include: Periwinkle Designs Chewmarks  and IDEA-STEM .

The Virtual Cafe will facilitated by Heidi Penning, Equity Advisor for the Queen's Human Rights & Equity Office .

We hope you will take the time to listen, learn, share and support the women whose businesses will be showcased at this event.

Together, WE CAN!

The WE-CAN Project is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. Please contact Kerry Ramsay at  kerry.ramsay@queensu.ca if you have accessibility requirements as soon as possible as advance notice is necessary to arrange for some accessibility needs.
