You are invited to be a part of an unforgettable, in-person celebration as we mark the end of the exciting and life-changing WE-CAN Project!

The keynote speaker for this event is Julie Ellis, who will be delivering an address on the importance of setting Big Gorgeous Goals. Each event attendee will also receive a free copy of Julie's book by the same title.

Come and connect with some of the amazing women you've met along the WE-CAN journey, chat with project leaders and partners, and set your own Big Gorgeous Goals for the future.

PLUS free headshots will also be available onsite for women entrepreneurs and light refreshments will be served.

We'll also be announcing what's NEXT for women entrepreneurship in the City of Kingston!

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Julie Ellis is an author, professional speaker and leadership coach to corporate leaders and scaling Entrepreneurs. Julie provides her unique experience and expertise to her coaching clients, gained through 25 years of working first in the corporate world, and then as a leading Canadian entrepreneur. She is a co-founder of award-winning Mabel’s Labels, one of Canada’s greatest small business success stories.

Julie’s book, Big Gorgeous Goals, is written for women entrepreneurs who want to step out of the small box they find themselves in and set world domination in their sights. In discussion with over a dozen women entrepreneurs, Julie explores their stories of why and how they have achieved great things in their lives and careers, and pairs that knowledge with her own stories of how she built, grew, and sold her business to a giant in her industry.

ABOUT THE WE-CAN PROJECT:

The WE-CAN Project is led by Queen’s University and supported by the Government of Canada. Its mission is to inspire and empower existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs by providing them with tools, resources, expert mentors, networks and community building to expand existing businesses and to launch new ventures.

The Government of Canada, through FedDev Ontario’s Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES) Ecosystem Fund is providing $3.2 million for Queen’s University to design and deliver programs and services to accelerate, train, mentor and provide resources to women entrepreneurs and women-led companies in the community.

The focus of the WES strategy is to provide support to women entrepreneurs from diverse and underrepresented groups.
