Lesley Jamieson

Lesley completed her BA in philosophy at the University of Ottawa and her MA at Queen's where she wrote her thesis on the use of perceptual language in moral epistemology. Lesley's primary interests could be broadly captured as metaethics, epistemology, and philosophy of language. More particularly, she is interested in the work of the late Wittgenstein, the philosophy of John McDowell, moral particularism, and questions about the relationships between community, knowledge, and moral reasons. In addition, Lesley enjoys reading work in the feminist care tradition of animal ethics and the philosophy of emotion.
