We are very pleased to announce that Dr. Meena Krishnamurthy will be joining the Department of Philosophy at Queen’s.
Dr. Krishnamurthy is coming to us from the University of Michigan and has a broad range of scholarly interests. In the philosophy of race she has done work on white blindness, the politics of distrust, the work of thinkers such as King, Ghandi and Garvey, as well as problems of colonialism and democracy. Dr. Krishnamurthy also has expertise in global justice, issues of gender representation, questions of public health, the family, the philosophy of Rawls and political philosophy more generally. She has published widely and is an engaged public intellectual.
Dr. Krishnamurthy has outstanding qualities as an accomplished scholar, a superb teacher, and a wonderful colleague. She will certainly be a splendid addition to our philosophical community!
