Legal Philosophy, Moral and Political Philosophy
I completed a BAH with a medial in Psychology-Philosophy here at Queens before being accepted as an MA student. My research focuses largely on criminal law theory. My thesis analyzes the role of the reasonable person standard in the criminal justice system. In particular, I discuss how the standard has come to reflect an "Average Joe" conception of what is reasonable, thus causing the standard to lose out on its egalitarian ambitions. I am also interested in moral and political philosophy and have presented a paper at the OLPP Conference 2016 at McMaster University on immigration, naturalization and integration.
