Nishtha’s doctoral research is situated at the intersection of Political Theory and Science and Technology Studies, focussing on algorithmic applications in the domain of healthcare. She is also interested in public policy, critical data studies, ethical and regulatory aspects of emerging technologies and philosophy of technology.
She is a recipient of the Globalink Research Award, jointly funded by Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (India) and Mitacs (Canada), which facilitated her placement at the Department of Philosophy, Queen’s University. In 2021 she was also a visiting research affiliate at the Department of Science and Technology Studies, University College London, UK, under the Newton-Bhabha Fund PhD Placement Programme.
