Abstract:

I will recall the birth of the use of bolometers at very low temperature up to the actual situation in the direct search for WIMPs, the results which were obtained and the future of this type of experiment. I will give the principles of these measurements and the technics to reach ultra low temperatures. The problems encountered with radioactivity will be outlined and finally the future hopes will be described on low masses WIMPs.
