Nature of the position: The research assistant will assist with data analysis and interpretation within the Stellar Magnetism research group.
Location: The position is situated at Royal Military College of Canada (RMC), Kingston, Ontario, in the research group of Dr. Wade in the Department of Physics and Space Science. Dates and hours: This is a full-time position (37.5 h/week) from the first week of May until mid-August 2023 (16 weeks), with some flexibility.
Financial support: The successful candidate will be funded by a competitive NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA) supplemented from Dr. Wade’s NSERC Discovery Grant.
Qualifications: The successful applicant will have completed at least two years of a physical science program with a preference for those who have completed Introduction to Astrophysics (PHYS 216). Computer programming skills (e.g., Python), the desire to learn new skills, and the ability to work in a team will be essential.
