Biography and Research Interests

I was born in Tayibe and raised in Jaffa, Israel/Palestine. I am interested in the relationship between indigenous national minorities and their host states, with an emphasis on the Palestinian minority in Israel. I completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Brandeis University, Waltham, MA (2014, 2015), and an additional master’s degree at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, Monterey, CA (2017). Before matriculating at Queen’s, I worked as a data coordinator for B’tselem, a leading Israeli human rights organization. In my spare time, I write op-eds for various news outlets, science fiction short stories, and I blog.
