Summer 2018 Maintenance Schedule

ARC
Admin Office Renovations - 2nd Floor - May - August
During this renovation, there may be increased noise and traffic volume through the building. The renovation will continue until August.
ARC
Coach's Office Renovations - May - August
There may be some increased noise and traffic volume throughout the building while renovations are going on.
Ban Righ
Kitchen Upgrade - June 11 - Mid August
The Ban Righ kitchen will not be available for use during this time. Events that will take place in Ban Righ Dining Hall during the construction will be negotiated with Event Services and Hospitality Services.
Ban Righ and Chown Hall
Elevator Modernization - June - July
This renovation is being coordinated with Event Services and Hospitality services to decrease the amount of inconvenience during this period.
98 - 100 Barrie St
Renovations - April 16 - End of July
100 Barrie St will be vacated for renovations and painting to occur. Occupants in the building will be moved to 98 Barrie St while the building is under construction.
Bio Sciences Complex
Minor Laboratory Renovations - May - August
No disturbances are anticipated as the labs will not be occupied during the renovation.
Duncan McAurthur
Gender Neutral Single User Washrooms
Classroom Renovations - 2nd and 3rd Floor - June - August
The renovations will continue on until August. There may be some increased noise and traffic volume through the building while renovations are going on.
Ellis Hall
Room Renovations - 006 & 008 - June - August
There may be periodical noise disruptions while contractors are renovating the space.

Washroom Upgrades on Floor 2 & 3 - May - July
Construction is currently underway and occupants of Ellis Hall are asked to use the bathrooms on the other floors of the building. During construction, there may be increased traffic through the building and there may be elevated noise disturbances while construction is going on.
Fleming Hall
Stone Restoration - April 27 - End of August
The stone restoration process is necessary for preservation of these important assets.  Please be aware that there will be masonry dust and elevated noise levels around the buildings. There will also be phased closure of some of the doorways.  A fenced in perimeter will also be in place around the buildings for safety purposes.
Grant Hall
Tower Access Renovations - May 1 - End of August
Grant Hall tower will be shut down to renovate the inside of the tower. Due to this, there may be disturbances to Grant Hall during this time.
Goodes Hall
Renovations to the Career Advancement Centre - May - August
There may be some increased noise and traffic volume throughout the building while renovations are going on.
Harkness Hall
Supply and Exhaust Fan and Heating System Refurbishment - June - End of August
This could cause potential noise disturbances off and on inside the building during the day.
Jackson Hall
Main Entrance Renovations - May 1 - End of August
The reason for this construction is to repair and stabilize the stairs. The main door entry to Jackson Hall will be closed off but there will be two temporary access openings near the main door in order to provide appropriate access to the building. While construction is going on there may be excess elevated noise and dust surrounding the area.
John Watson Hall
Roof Repairs - May 1 - End of August
The offices in the east wing of the fifth floor will be vacated during asphalt application periods. Please note that fumes from the asphalt may be an issue to some individuals. During construction, there may be periods where parking spaces will be reduced surrounding the building. Completing Phase 2 of the roof repairs will complete a reroofing project started last autumn.
Mac-Corry
Paneling Repair to Exterior Walls - Late June - Mid July
The reason for this is because panels have fallen off of the building. Please note that entrances to some staircases may be blocked off and barriers may be places around parts of the building for safety purposes.

Roof Access Safety Guard Installation - June 11 - August 31
Installation of guards for fall prevention are a necessary safety precaution for workers when they are required to access the roof. There will be periodic excess noise and odour from the asphalt fumes, this may disturb some occupants of Mac-Corry and the surrounding buildings.
MacDonald Hall
Multiple Renovations - June 5 - August 31
The office areas on level 3 & 4 and the study areas in Lederman Law Library will be undergoing renovations in MacDonald Hall. There will also be an installation of air conditioning systems in various rooms in the building.
McLaughlin Hall
Multiple Renovations - May 1 - End of August
Renovations to the space include: 16 new windows, improved entrances, improved mechanical ventilation, newly renovated washrooms, as well as additional renovations to the interior of the building. Please note that there are barriers in place for safety purposes.
Nicol Hall
Stone Restoration - April 27 - End of August
The stone restoration process is necessary for preservation of these important assets.  Please be aware that there will be masonry dust and elevated noise levels around the buildings. Stuart St Garage
Sprinkler System Replacement - June 7 - August 31
Parking sections will be cordoned off as areas undergo work. PPS is working with Parking Services to coordinate the parking space cordoning. Note, the garage will remain open, only some spots will be unavailable.
Robert Sutherland Hall
Room Renovations - 541, 542, 543, and 548 - May - July
There may be minor noise disruptions to nearby occupants during this time.
Theological Hall
Convocation Hall Renovation - June - Mid October
During this renovation, there may be increased noise and traffic volume through the building. Occupants are asked to remain respectful of the space. During the summer months, Convocation Hall will not be able to be booked for any uses. Once classes start in September, renovations will resume, however the schedule of the renovations will be dependent on class bookings.
