The Vice-Provost, International, portfolio oversees the Queen’s University Comprehensive International Plan and supports strategic international relationships, institutional coordination, communication and collaboration among partners, faculties, schools and units to assist students, faculty members and staff across campus involved in international learning, research and planning.

Coordinates Queen’s involvement in the Matariki Network of Universities (MNU). Manages the office’s operations, including human resources and budget.

International Programs Office (IPO)

Leads the research, development, implementation, management and central coordination of international study opportunities for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Arts and Science. Supports student mobility programs in other faculties and schools on behalf of the university and collaborates with stakeholders at Queen’s and abroad to support the Queen’s University International Comprehensive Plan. Prioritizes and manages the work of IPO employees and oversees financial management of the IPO.

Academic advising for mobility programs, administers the International Studies Certificate, processes and approves International Letters of Permission and coordinates the transfer of academic credit for students participating in study abroad programs and international exchange.

Assists with the administration of bilateral and multi-faculty mobility programs. Guides student participants through application procedures, deadlines, and course selection process. Organizes promotional events on campus including orientation activities and sets agendas for visiting partners.

Michael Green International Programs Assistant


First point-of-contact for all visitors to the International Programs Office (IPO). Works with student volunteers and IPO staff on various aspects of the mobility programs through day-to-day support. Recruits and trains the Exchange Peer Advisers, maintains the unit’s social media presence, and supports marketing activities.

Bader International Study Centre Initiatives

Responsible for identifying and assisting in the development of both new academic and non-credit programming at the Bader International Study Centre (BISC). Focused on developing, advancing and executing strategic and operational plans to best facilitate the recruitment of qualified students to the BISC and enhancing the profile of the BISC at Queen’s University, nationally and internationally.
