GRADUATE STUDIES

Funding and Financial Support: External Awards

How Will I Be Funded?

Queen’s University mandates a minimum guarantee of funding for full-time doctoral students in good standing of $18,000 per academic years 1 through 4.  Psychology also makes every effort to provide similar support for full-time Master’s students in years 1 and 2 (some conditions may apply).  Funding support varies according to the number of students who hold external and internal funding awards and scholarships so we encourage all applicants to apply for all external fellowships for which they are eligible.

External Funding

The Department of Psychology requires eligible students to apply for the OGS funding award during each year of their degree in order to also be eligible for nomination for Queen’s internal fellowships and scholarships.

Quebec Opportunities (external)
Residents of Quebec should apply for Quebec Government Scholarships, as these are tenable outside of Quebec.
