Graduate Students

Katherine Snelling

Kat Snelling

I am a second-year master’s student studying developmental psychology. My research examines how error detection is associated with language abilities in both children and adults. I expect quick error detection, as measured by gaze movements, to be associated with superior language abilities. I am working on the social committee for the association of graduate students in psychology. This means that I get to plan orientation and other social events for graduate students. Outside of school, I play water polo for Queen’s and like to stargaze!

Michael Slinger

Michael Slinger

I am a second-year master's student in the clinical program. My thesis is examining if and when children will ask for information from more than one source, particularly looking at the effects of expertise and intuitiveness. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa, where I worked on studies of children's selective social learning and differences in metacognition and spatial navigation in adults. My current hobbies include playing the ukulele and Classic WoW.
