Immigration data linked to hospital data now available in RDC across Canada

Statistics Canada, in partnership with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), is pleased to announce the release of a new integrated dataset.

As part of its record data linkage activities, Statistics Canada has linked the Longitudinal Immigration Database (IMDB) with patient records in the Discharge Abstract Database (DAD).

The Longitudinal Immigration Database (IMDB) - 2016 is now available for download and can be accessed by researchers with approved projects.

The Longitudinal Immigration Database (IMDB) combines linked administrative immigration and tax data files. It is a comprehensive source of data on the socio-economic outcomes of the immigrant taxfiler population in Canada.

Change in QRDC hours, January 21 to March 14, 2019

Please note that that for the period between January 21 to March 14, 2019, QRDC hours will be extended to 5:45pm from Tuesday to Thursday.

In addition, the QRDC Analyst will only be available from Tuesday to Thursday each week. The QRDC will remain open on Mondays during regular hours, staffed by the Statistical Assistant, but no vetting requests will be able to be handled on Mondays during this period.
