Marion Edith Dubin Scholarship in English
Established in memory of Marion Edith Dubin and awarded to a student who might not otherwise have the opportunity to study at Queen’s School of English (QSoE).

Eligibility:
- The applicant must be at least 18 years of age
- The applicant must have applied for the EAP program and have paid their tuition in full
- The applicant must submit a written short essay answering the Composition Topic listed below (maximum 500 words)
- The completed application and composition must be sent by email to soe@queensu.ca by the listed deadline
Submission Deadline: December 5th, 2018, at midnight (Ontario time)
Scholarship Award Criteria:
- The writing is persuasive, cohesive, and presents and supports an argument or position
- Scholarship applicant displays potential as a writer
- While the scholarship composition may contain errors in organization and mechanics, these errors do not seriously detract from the writer’s message
Number of Awards:
Three awards will be made for payment towards tuition for each EAP session (Summer, Fall and Winter terms). One award will be awarded to one student per term for a total of three recipients during the 2018-2019 year.
